lysolqn Posted March 2, 2005 #1 Share Posted March 2, 2005 We're considering booking Century for September - Barcelona, Cartagena (Spain), Ajaccio (Corsica), Rome, Naples, Messina and Palermo (Sicily) and Valletta (Malta). Celebrity is our favorite line and we've been on Century four times, so cruiseline and ship are not the issue. We've cruised in Europe and know the cruises there are port intensive and somewhat tiring, so that's not an issue. Here's our concern - it appears several of the ports are new to Celebrity since they don't even have shore excursions listed for them yet. Considering Century was just recently placed in the Med. for the season, are the ports being offered "Plan B" (the only ports available on short notice) or are they interesting and worth visiting? Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!
kitty9 Posted March 3, 2005 #2 Share Posted March 3, 2005 I know from previous cruises that Corsica, Palermo and especially Malta are wonderful ports and definitely worth visiting. I think the sail in of Malta is one of the most beautiful of any in the world. You think you're cruising into ancient Egypt because of the architechture. anca Posted May 25, 2005 #4 Share Posted May 25, 2005 We are on the 11 night Century Cruise Barcelona - Barcelona, we have chosen our excursions online but have not yet purchased. We live in Europe but have not been to any of those ports, some people like to book privately, we always use the cruise line excursions. Google search for the ship and then go from there at the site to read about the excursions. Hope this helps. Anca
