St John - Beach?

Recommended Posts

I realize St. John's is not the caribbean, but are there any beaches in St. John? We are taking 3 teen girls, and not sure what they will do, esp. with that being our only stop.

The waters of the Bay of Fundy are very cold and on the outskirts of Saint John - so I do not recommend it. There are fresh lake beaches at Rockwood Park - a 5 minute taxi from ship. Perhaps your daughters would be interested in ziplining at Reversing Falls or a thrill ride jet boat tour through the falls.

Hi Acey-SJ------Are you a new person or the regular Acey with SJ added to his name?

I second Acey-SJ's opinion on swimming in the Bay of Fundy---nobody in their right mind would even try it. You don't know the meaning of the word cold until you do.

Oh thank goodness---I thought we had an interloper:eek:

That happened to me a few months ago and I signed on to the board I regularly post on with another name and then started a thread asking the host to help me. They sent me an email giving me a new password and after I was able to sign in again, they removed my new name and I was back in business.

Alternatively I think you could just email the host with the contact info at the bottom of the threads. Sad to lose your thread count.
