kitty9 Posted February 18, 2011 #2 Share Posted February 18, 2011 Gym and sauna are free but there are many classes using some of the equipment that are not free.
cb at sea Posted February 18, 2011 #3 Share Posted February 18, 2011 Both are include in your fare. Nothing is "free"...you've paid for it!

Rare silentbob007 Posted February 19, 2011 #5 Share Posted February 19, 2011 Stuff like spinning classes have a fee. Otherwise it is free to use the standard equipment (treadmill, elipitcal, etc). I believe the locker rooms have free suanas, but am not sure at that part.
Utahrd Posted September 24, 2011 #6 Share Posted September 24, 2011 Equipment like the stationary bikes, elliptical machines (Nordic Tracs or whatever) and the weights are going to be included in the fare on pretty much every cruise line, right? Even Carnival? I am cheap and I was thinking about a Repositioning cruise. Would a cruise ship ever close down a workout area/weight room because it's a repositioning cruise and there aren't enough people on board or because it's a good time to do maintenance? eh2zed Posted September 24, 2011 #7 Share Posted September 24, 2011 Don't know of any cruise line that charges for use of the gym. Some classes may be pay but many are also free.
CruiserBruce Posted September 24, 2011 #8 Share Posted September 24, 2011 You will learn lots more about RCCL, your ship and your cruise if you go over to the RCCL board, here: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=

We have done several repositioning cruises -- and the gym was never closed. In fact many days my DH would comment about how crowded it was -- and he would be there by 6 AM when they opened (on HAL). You are not cheap. Please don't use that term - you offend those of us who have upcoming repo cruises booked! :p (j/k) Repo cruises are often as popular as other cruises. The gym won't be closed and you will have access to all amenities and services as a regular cruise, not to worry. Any maintenance may be performed on "turnaround day", which is a good time for crew to get their work done, however some maintenance like for pools and hot tubs is ongoing at any given time.
