AWCHIEF Posted February 22, 2011 #3 Share Posted February 22, 2011 Carnival does not require you to pre-pay tips. They can be added to your Sign and Sail card at the end of the cruise. They can be adjusted or totally removed if you so desire.
SMSACE6 Posted February 22, 2011 #4 Share Posted February 22, 2011 You can prepay, or alternatively, you will be charged the suggested daily amount on your sail and sign/on board account and the weekly total amount will be added to your account on the second day of the cruise. ( 10.00 dollars a day per person, broken up, among the the dining room staff, your stateroom steward,s and other dining staff, like the buffet servers ). Even with anytime dining, the same applies, regardless of whether you have the same servers each night.

riffatsea Posted February 23, 2011 #7 Share Posted February 23, 2011 The wait staff that you use get their tips whether you have traditional dining or Your Time Dining. When you are seated at Your Time Dining they note your cabin no. and so the staff is given credit for serving you . Many of us like to sit at the same tables each night ,even with Your Time, so that the staff get to know us. The tips are allotted by who serves you and how many days they do so.NO need to PRE pay anything!!

You don't even have to do that. No matter which dining option you choose, tips are automatically charged on your onboard S&S account, unless you pre-pay them. It's the same process whether you have traditional or anytime dining.
