We are considering a Princess cruise fro the first time? What about the food and room service? Ships being considered are the Princess Dawn and the Princess SAffire one to alaska the other to mex..... Room Service is a huge deal to us we like to eat most of our meals in our room or on the balcony....

Thank-you

Room service is good on Princess. At night they give you a limited breakfast menu to hang on your door the night before. If there is anything else that you want, that is not on the menu, just write it in. Most of the time you will get it. I think you will find Princess as good if not a little beter than HAL. The main diferences, that we noted is that Princess colors are much brighter than HAL. The cabins on Hal have more tub/shower combinations than Princess. We like the atriums on Princess ships. We were on the Zandam and they had some kind of a giant monolith filling all of the open area in the atrium. Enjoy your cruise .

We have never had a problem with writing anything during meal hours on the room service menu and having it delivered on a Princess Cruise. Some say they have and not sure if it has to do with the category you book or just bad luck. We have never had a problem.
