What is the largest OBC you have received and how the heck did you get that high of a dollar amount???

We had $550 for our Oasis cruise last September.

$200 OBC for transferring to a TA

$50 OBC gift from DW's boss for Christmas

$50 for referring fellow cruises to said TA

$250 Royal Points from BAO card

Even with the OBC, we still paid a hefty Sea Pass bill in the end. :D

Approximately $3,200 total for three cabins on the Oasis last year due to price drops after final payment. Unfortunately they changed the rules so that won't be happening again.

WOW... i think this will be the winning number... jeez... i cant even hit a jackpot that high in the casino... much less an OBC>>>

900 We booked Oasis 18 months out & price drop after final payment gave us a $900. head start on our sea pass. We also go to the pursers desk if we win in the casino & reduce it that way:cool:

Not RCI but:

Four days before we were about to sail in July 2009, Princess gave us a "move over" offer - the cruise was oversold, and if we agreed to give up our cabins and change our sailing date, they would give us back our total cruise fare in refundable OBC ($7800 for 5 people in 3 cabins) and upgrade us from regular balconies to minisuites. We took the offer and moved to the same cruise sailing July 2010. The unused OBC that was refunded to us is being used towards our upcoming Allure cruise.

I will have $675 on my Sept 2 cruise

$75 from my TA

$600 from RCI (plus an upgrade to an aft 1104/Radiance)

because my cruise was canceled when Radiance decided to go into drydock ... then canceled again when she decided to extend her drydock :D

Looks like it all worked out!

Not only do I get $675 and an aft ... I get a new Radiance too!

Ah, the good old days when you could combine OBC. Below is $1,040 worth of OBC we got on our Serenade cruise thru the Panama Canal in April of 2008. Plus, the only cruise we have ever been on where the upgrade fairy visited us (while checking in) and sent us to a JS from a D2 balcony.

OBC

300.00 - TA OBC

250.00 - RCI Stockholder OBC

200.00 - RCI Gift Certificates

150.00 - BOA OBC (RCI credit card)

140.00 - Fuel Surcharge Refund

Total OBC 1,040.00

$700 - i think when the Mariner changed Itinerary from Mexico to Pacific Northwest because of the swine flu... plus our Grand Suite room rate went down $500.

So $700 OBC and $500 refund back to our credit card...

For our upcoming cruise we get 300 from TA, 300 from Royal since our ship was chartered and we had to switch, 100 stock holder and 2 bottles of wine. So 700.oo for the first cruise. For the second we get 200 from TA, 200 from royal and pre paid gratuities which for us is 200.00.
