“Live” from Allure March 20th 2011!

Ok, so Im trying to organise and work out where I am going to put my pictures when Im on board. When i went on Oasis last year i had trouble posting any pics - they all came out as thumbnails... But once I got home was able to post them all to a site. So Im hopefully going to post my Allure pics there also and put a few on here hopefully not thumbnails....

Ill put videos up also but will probably have to do that once im home...So hopefully this will work and you will be able to see the pic that port fever took of Jes a few weeks ago on the back of Allure at sailaway..(this is where we will be standing NEXT SUNDAY!!!!! OMG its NEXT SUNDAY!!! YYAYAYAY

I'm so glad that you get to see your son on the ship! We are going on the same sailing and have the aqua show booked on the first night. I fully anticipate that it will be the highlight of our trip.

Im going to print it out in the hope i meet you all:) Thanks:) and yes I am very proud of him - and you know its just great that divers who dont wish to go right to the top now have an awesome alternative - working so hard all their lives to now have this sort of opportunity to get paid to do what they love. He missed out on commonwealth games trials by 30 points then this job came up and to be honest suits him much more than stressful competing......yayyyy... half an hr to go and then I can say I leave Aus in 3 days!!!!!:D

Our family will be on your cruise and we are all so excited. We were on Oasis last May and loved the Aqua shows. So happy that you will get to see your son!

Thanks Samantha - ha ha yes!! Wow - you get Sunday morning calls???:eek: You are VERY lucky!!!!!! :D Lol Jes has rung me twice - and that was when he was on oasis last year.No phone calls at all from Allure,,,, It was so good to hear his voice then though - I cried hehe.... Nothing like a real phone call - all our chats are on the internet - its amazing what they can do now - its so great for parents whos kids are away on the other side of the world. We have even skyped a few times when Jes has been in port which has been great.... What does your daughter do on Allure? Jes may know her? Maybe I can get some pics for you:)

 

She is with the youth program. We will sail May 8. Cannot wait to here all about your trip. Safe travels.

Thanks for the comments.I know once I leave Australia and especially when i get on board Allure of the Seas - did I tell you im going on Allure of the Seas???? hahhaha..... I know I wont be able to answer you all individually.. But Ill do my best.

Well 2 days to go till I leave Aussie soil !!!! 4am here and of course I cant sleep - so many things going round in my head - still lots of paperwork to organise for while Im away, got the suitcases out but havent started packing yet... Jes says he has lots planned for me when Im on board yayyayay... If its anything like Oasis, i wont be getting much sleep LOL..

Have to buy another video cam battery as last time it ran out too fast - I was taking that many vids lol...

Yup Im really excited now! This time tomorrow Ill be on da plane da plane yippeee....

Spoke to Jes for the last time before I come over yesterday and he did box office duties when they were in port last Sunday so he can get the next 2 Sundays off to spend with me yayaya..... Hoping he will come to my hotel Sun morning like last time was a great "surprise"

So just one more thing to buy for him today - chalk for the billiard cues..... in staff quaters they have a billiard table...very popular...

So, tomorrow 8am ill be on the plane headed for Sydney, then Sydney to LA, then LA to Fort Lauderdale. Hopefully get a window seat on the big flight so i can sleep on the window instead of some stange persons shoulder LOL:D Funny - I arrive in Fort Lauderdale the same day i leave Aust - although its abt 20 hrs in the air....

Have everything set up at home now, just gotta take Mum to lunch today and work this arvo, then pack and tada! Im ready woohoo:D

Im still to work out how to get to Hollywood blvd CA when i have a 10 hr stopover at LA airport on the way back. Any suggestions?:D

 

What time of day and what day of the week. The amount of time it takes to get from Hollywierd to LAX can vary quite a bit. My last trip there, I took this picture of the star for my favorite Austrailian.

5.30am here in Bris aus and Im just abt to leave for the airport woohooo! Look out Jes here comes yr crazy:eek: mum hahhha....

Got abt 2 hrs sleep of course lol... BUT im very surprised with my packing ! I fitted everything easily including all Jesses stuff into my 2 bags and theyre not full ... WOW!!!! I think i learnt from Oasis last year LOL....

OMG im so excited hahahha - hope I can sleep on the plane....

Well, sure cant say international travel is boring!!!!!Currently I’m mid air between LA and Fort Lauderdale..... at the Start of my journey, a broken down truck on the road to the airport, didn’t think I was going to make my first flight- luckily it had been delayed! –So flew Brisbane to Sydney, then as this flight was delayed it was a mad rush to get from domestic to International terminal in Sydney for my flight to LA. I must say was alot easier though as I was escorted right through the whole process, hahahh felt like a celebrity!!! I even was lucky enough to get a window seat yayayy!

International flight was good – only got abt an hr sleep but at least i had the window to rest my head on instead of a stranger LOL.watched movies, played lots of games haha.... La airport seemed easier than last time, was quick and simple to get off the LA flight and onto the Fort Lauderdale flight.

So Im abt 4hrs from Fort Lauderdale. I actually got a few hrs sleep on this flight so not feeling too badJ Ha as we flew into LA airport, I got my camera out incase I got to see the Hollywood sign and yep yayaya there it was – haha took a pic not a real good one but was really weird to see it just there instead of on tv!!! WOW Im in USA!!! Hehehehhe.......

Im getting real excited now – I so cant wait to see Jes, and am busting to get on AllureJ

hahah, oh yes - on entry to the US, I declared biscuits and lollies (for jes) and was asked -" you dont have australian tim tams do you?" Yes.....???? "oh sorry they are not allowed in the US - you will have to give them to me" ...LOL:D
