bougiet Posted March 11, 2011 #1 Share Posted March 11, 2011 Hello all, I heard that the serentiy area is in the location where the kids go for the slide. I would appreciate any information such as is it loud because of that or is it peacefull. Any pics would be great too!!! Thank you in advance!! Carolin Posted March 11, 2011 #2 Share Posted March 11, 2011 It is but not close. It's very quiet back there. The top of the slide is around the corner at the end of the deck. The splash ends up further below. Here's a picture.
bumbles Posted March 11, 2011 #3 Share Posted March 11, 2011 It is very quiet in the serenity area - we loved it there. We didn't see any kids - although my daughter said her O2 counselor let them play hide and seek up there one evening ????
bougiet Posted March 11, 2011 Author #4 Share Posted March 11, 2011 Thanks for the replies. I don't mind children at all but I just know I am going to want some peace and quiet time too. ;)

margie1221 Posted March 13, 2011 #6 Share Posted March 13, 2011 Do you have to be there at the crack of dawn to beat the chair hogs? We will be on the Glory Apr. 3. It seemed like earlier in the week it was a lot less crowded - maybe people didn't know about it at first or maybe as the week went on they wanted a break from the activities going on on the Lido Deck. It is very pleasant and very quiet! Here's another pic of Serenity Area... You will love it altho it can be very windy since it's at the front of the ship!! Enjoy!! scchasgal Posted March 13, 2011 #10 Share Posted March 13, 2011 Not outside, but go into the spa right inside on deck 11 and there's a small pool and a hot tub. It's my favorite place on Glory.:) Is that a pay area of the spa?
margie1221 Posted March 14, 2011 #11 Share Posted March 14, 2011 Not a pay area of the spa - sort of undiscovered little section, too!! But there ARE two outdoor hot tubs in the Serenity area - sorry I didn't get a photo of them - it was a really awesome view!!!

nybumpkin Posted March 13, 2012 #14 Share Posted March 13, 2012 I read the same thing in a guide book. Is that right? Not by the slide entrance. The slide is aft of Serenity.
golfadj Posted March 13, 2012 #15 Share Posted March 13, 2012 It is nice and quiet and they have box lunches for us too.
sandij Posted March 13, 2012 #16 Share Posted March 13, 2012 We just got off the Glory yesterday and I really liked the Serenity area. the lounges are very comfortable and there are two hot tubs, you have to go up one more deck to find them. It was more windy up there but I liked it better, thought it got too hot on the lower deck. so go to deck 13 amd you'll find the tubs and shower. I don't remember any noise from the slide. Bookworm1985 Posted March 13, 2012 #17 Share Posted March 13, 2012 I loved the hot tubs there. I spent much of our sea days in them. I also really enjoyed the hammocks. It is VERY windy though.
WestCoastCruiser123 Posted March 13, 2012 #18 Share Posted March 13, 2012 I actually spent more time at the adult pool area at the back than serenity. Don't forget to look for seats there if serenity is packed (or super windy as it was on my cruise). A couple of kids tried to get in the pool at the back and a staff member quickly approached them that it was an adult only area. This area also had a roof that they closed during high winds or rain.
