2boyzmom Posted March 18, 2011 #1 Share Posted March 18, 2011 Just received a call that they found my blackberry I lost on the 2/19 sailing of LOS. It's being fedexed today. Awesone customer service means everything to me and considering the cruise was only so so, this definitely convinced me to try RCCL again :)
Sandy Sails Posted March 18, 2011 #2 Share Posted March 18, 2011 Congratulations! I hear it's rare that they actually find lost items...
janabm81 Posted March 18, 2011 #3 Share Posted March 18, 2011 Wow...it does work! I've always wondered if they really did have a lost & found after I lost/forgot my camera and they never could find it. (I know I left it in the safe)

Tucker in Texas Posted March 18, 2011 #5 Share Posted March 18, 2011 I left our camera on the shelf next to the mirror on the Eclipse after our February 12 sailing. I, also, left my CD player and head set. I called Lost and Found and got very nice fellow who told me the CD player had been found but not the camera. He took my address but I have yet to see the CD player. The camera was a cheap one. In fact, I didn't even know the brand--it was a Best Buy refurbished one. I knew exactly where I left it. Both husband I, when packing, assumed it was the binoculars in the shelf and the other had packed the camera as the cases were identical. We did not realize the binoculars had been taken up the last night. Fortunately, there were a large group of friends on this cruise so we do have some pictures. The "bad" thing about the CD player is that it had a disk in it from an audio book I borrowed from a friend. So I need to replace the CD player plus I have bought my friend a gift certificate to replace the book. But you know what? It is nothing money can't replace. As long as I have the wonderful memories of the cruise, my health and my family, that is all that is important. Tucker in Texas
I'm on holiday Posted March 18, 2011 #6 Share Posted March 18, 2011 Good for you! I left brand new (tags still on) workout clothes (shorts, top, sports bra) and swim suits (4) in the bottom drawer near the closet of our GS on the Feb 10 sailing of the Radiance. These clothing items never left our cabin. I take FULL responsibility for leaving them on board. :o I realized my error the minute I arrived home, which was within an hour as I live near the port of Tampa. Despite calling and giving full details, I was told the items were not found. I pressured the rep for an explanation and was told that clothing items, for health reasons, are trashed!

Gordo Posted March 19, 2011 #8 Share Posted March 19, 2011 Very lucky! Last month we lost a pair of Bose noise cancelling headphones and two iPods (but we had a different outcome). They were brand new, so someone has suggested contacting our credit card company to see if they are covered under a new purchase protection plan. Congrats on your good luck.
