cadcruiser Posted March 29, 2011 #1 Share Posted March 29, 2011 I recently completed my second Princess cruise. This was the first time I was a Gold member and I received a destination stamp with no destination on it. It had the name of the ship and Captain's signature. Do destination stamps have the destination on them?
Toto2Kansas Posted March 29, 2011 #2 Share Posted March 29, 2011 I had to go look, as I have never paid a lot of attention to them in the past. The one we got a few weeks ago definitely says TAHITI on it, the Captain's signature, and the name of the ship we sailed on.
Grannycb Posted March 29, 2011 #3 Share Posted March 29, 2011 Sometimes the stamps have the destination at the top of the stamp, and sometimes they simply say 'Princess'. The stamp for our British Isles cruise is one that has 'Princess' on it. Others say 'Mediterranean', 'Transatlantic', 'Caribbean', 'Alaska', 'Panama Canal', 'Northern Europe', etc.

CruiseAdict218 Posted March 29, 2011 #5 Share Posted March 29, 2011 I got one when we went to Canada/New England last year and it had Canada/New England on it, My aunt also received alot of Caribbean, Mexico Rivera & Alaska and all had the destination but the ship and captain were left blank I think. Pia1913 Posted March 29, 2011 #7 Share Posted March 29, 2011 Most of ours have the destination on them. So do ours, which I promptly stow in the trash. There is just so much you can continue to save. Like shot glasses, from wine tasting.
cadcruiser Posted March 30, 2011 Author #8 Share Posted March 30, 2011 Thanks to everyone for your responses. At least I know that I shouldn't always expect the destination on the stamp.

And when I complain, I get, "Well, do you want me to spend time clearing out all this stuff, or do you want to cruise for 3 months every year?". Uh....can't I have both?!? It's not Hoarding, in real life, but for this OC neatnik, it has the same effect.

This was the first time I was a Gold member and I received a destination stamp with no destination on it. It had the name of the ship and Captain's signature. Do destination stamps have the destination on them? It appears that on the coastal cruises, they use a stamp with no destination on it.

Putterdude Posted April 7, 2011 #16 Share Posted April 7, 2011 Ours have always had the destination on them....however more than once the stamp has not appeared arrived in our cabin and I have had to go and see the Circle host/hostess to get one...with the usual explanation "there was a glitch". DW likes them for her scrapbook. Romy40 Posted April 8, 2011 #17 Share Posted April 8, 2011 These stamps are hard to get. Sometimes we get them, other times there are none to be found. I finally gave up trying to "collect" them. :(

I think the Captain's Circle host/ess can get you any missing ones -- they may just not have your captain's signature on them. I'm missing only one but I'd really like to have it and I checked on where to get one before I went on the next cruise after (then I ended up forgetting to get it . . . !) But anyway, that's the answer I got, to see the CC person onboard.
