CanadianTwosome Posted April 4, 2011 #1 Share Posted April 4, 2011 This will be my first Carnival cruise in a long time - certainly since I became legally allowed to drink liquor - so I'm wondering if Carnival has a bar setup service like NCL does. On NCL I can preorder bottles of whatever liquor I want (from their list) and it's waiting for me in my cabin when I board. Does Carnival have a similar option? Is there a price list available anywhere?
Jennfor5 Posted April 4, 2011 #2 Share Posted April 4, 2011 Yes, I understand that you can buy it thru Bon Voyage before hand. I don't have the list but there are many threads on Bon Voyage.

BigDave76 Posted April 4, 2011 #4 Share Posted April 4, 2011 If you wait and order bottles from Room Service once at sea, is tax charged?
CanadianTwosome Posted April 5, 2011 Author #5 Share Posted April 5, 2011 Thanks so much for the information! BigDave, if Carnival is anything like NCL (and I'm guessing they are in this regard), you cannot order bottles of liquor after sailing, nor can you purchase liquor in port and bring it on board. Any liquor purchases you make in duty free or in port are held until the night before disembarkation and then you pick them up - presumably to pack them in your luggage. socaldesign Posted April 5, 2011 #6 Share Posted April 5, 2011 the way I understand it, you can order bottles from room service. I don't know from experience, but there are a lot of threads on here about the same topic.

You actually can order from exactly the same list while on the ship. It's best to go through the Guest Services Desk as not all of the ships permit such orders to be placed through Room Service. :)
