What to Wear for First Night?

I was told that the captains dinner is on the first night? Is this true? And if so, what is the dress code for this? If not, is it just casual dinner?

 

I want to be sure we pack the right things for the first day, in case our luggage is delayed.

 

So far we have:

-bathing suits

-sunscreen

-toiletries (for freshening up)

-comfies

-sunday dinner attire??? Help

 

Anything else we should be packing in the carry on?

You will be fine. The Captain's reception is never the first day. Casual dress code due to many people not getting luggage for awhile.:D

The first night is always casual.

 

Most people don't even get their luggage till after dinner. We usually will wear to dinner what we had on when we boarded the ship.

 

Captains dinners are the second night and second to last nights on a 7 day cruise. 3 and 4 days is also just the second night.
