Jean1946 Posted April 20, 2011 #1 Share Posted April 20, 2011 He will be wearing dark blue dress pants for the formal nights and docker type tan/blue/black other nights. Can he get by with just one pair of dress shoes and if so - brown or black? He will also have deck shoes, sandals, tennis shoes, etc.
SadieN Posted April 20, 2011 #2 Share Posted April 20, 2011 DH wears black Keens onboard with everything - navy, black, tan. Usually they're his only pair of shoes.
Colorado Kat Posted April 20, 2011 #3 Share Posted April 20, 2011 I'd go with the black dress shoes.
klauer Posted April 20, 2011 #4 Share Posted April 20, 2011 Black dress shoes if bringing black pants.
GORDONCHICK Posted April 20, 2011 #5 Share Posted April 20, 2011 If he weren't bringing black pants, I'd say cordovan (if he has dress shoes that color). Of course, the cordovan can also go with black pants depending on the shirt color. And you didn't ask, but match the socks to the trousers. cb at sea Posted April 21, 2011 #6 Share Posted April 21, 2011 I wouldn't wear dress shoes with the dockers...a pair of loafer/deck shoes will be fine!
Shak Posted April 21, 2011 #7 Share Posted April 21, 2011 I bring a pair of dress shoes, walking shoes, and sandles. I wear black dress shoes because most of my outfits black goes better with but I really don't care if I wear black shoes with a brown outfit or dress shoes with causal pants. Other then you no will know the difference or care. Shak
