Soleil09 Posted April 21, 2011 #1 Share Posted April 21, 2011 Do I just call and ask them to apply the tips? Will they charge my cc or take it off of the OBC that we have?
moran4carnival Posted April 21, 2011 #2 Share Posted April 21, 2011 I would think they would just take it off your OBC since your Sail and Sign will be attached to your account. I am prepaying my tips before I leave and applying OBC before I go. Will make the final bill that is put under my door less painful. HA!
zoncom Posted April 21, 2011 #3 Share Posted April 21, 2011 On other lines your OBC is not applicable until you are on ship. I always wait to book excursions, pay tips etc. until onboard to use my OBCs.
serene56 Posted April 21, 2011 #4 Share Posted April 21, 2011 you call if you want to pre pay your tips - you cannot apply OBC ahead of time to your tips.
moran4carnival Posted April 21, 2011 #5 Share Posted April 21, 2011 But if you add OBC, it would just be taken off during your cruise right?
*Mach* Posted April 21, 2011 #6 Share Posted April 21, 2011 But if you add OBC, it would just be taken off during your cruise right? Yeah, that's the case but if you call and tell them you want to prepay the automatic gratuities they will charge them to your credit card. You need to call the Bon Voyage Department to add money to your on board account... :)

I'm leaving in 2 weeks - should I just wait and pay on the ship?

On your last day on the ship, you'll get a statement showing your onboard credit, any charges, and your gratuities. If you have your S & S account on a credit card, you don't need to do a thing.... it just goes right on there.

I like to prepay as much as possible BEFORE I go. You call your agent and make the payment
