LSP2005 Posted May 17, 2011 #1 Share Posted May 17, 2011 My family will have three rooms on board the Jewel and I had a question last night for NCL. When I called them I was informed that we are now classified as a group and was directed to the group sailing department. Is there anything I need to be aware of with group classification? Is there a group sailing departure line? Are there any group perks?
JrzCruiser Posted May 17, 2011 #2 Share Posted May 17, 2011 That's odd, my PCC said you can't be considered a group unless there are 8 or more cabins booked. We have 5 cabins booked.
johnql Posted May 17, 2011 #3 Share Posted May 17, 2011 I'm guessing that the OP's booking is just considered part of a group booking because their cabins were part of a larger block of cabins all reserved by the same TA. This type of group booking doesn't receive any perks that I know of (other than possibly something offered by the TA).
LSP2005 Posted May 17, 2011 Author #4 Share Posted May 17, 2011 See that is what I thought too, but when we first booked we were not considered a "group" which is why I was so confused when I called last night.
bakerintn Posted May 17, 2011 #5 Share Posted May 17, 2011 If you booked through a travel agent, any perks will be of their choosing. Large groups, such as a wedding party having a wedding on board, do get group boarding, etc., but affinity groups generally do not get any special boarding perks.
