Spender Nui Posted May 28, 2011 #1 Share Posted May 28, 2011 Are the balconies deeper than verandah cabins? Do they have 2 loungers? Are there any cabins that have larger balconies than others in this category? Thanks for any information.
ironin Posted May 28, 2011 #2 Share Posted May 28, 2011 Are the balconies deeper than verandah cabins? Yes. Do they have 2 loungers? Not that I am aware of. Two chairs & foot stools and a table AFAIK Are there any cabins that have larger balconies than others in this category? You might want to check on 8094 & 8099. Spender Nui Posted May 29, 2011 Author #3 Share Posted May 29, 2011 Thanks for the input. One more question. Are the balconies covered? I have a problem being in the sun.
Rare kazu Posted May 29, 2011 #4 Share Posted May 29, 2011 Thanks for the input. One more question. Are the balconies covered? I have a problem being in the sun. Most of the superior verandahs that I have seen do not have much coverage, but the sun depends upon your time of day and location. You might want to take a look at the cabins mentioned. I believe they should be covered in most cases. If you take a look at Joanie's website (it's a sticky at the top of the HAL main page - by IRL Joanie), you might find some pictures there of the potential cabins which may be helpful.:)

Donald2313 Posted May 29, 2011 #6 Share Posted May 29, 2011 We were in SY 6107 for our Inside Passage cruise last July. It was an excellent room. I remember the balcony as being completely covered - but depending on the direction - you could have sunshine or not. When we had drizzle - you were probably going to get wet if the ship was moving. We really enjoyed the SY category. We liked being midship - and not too high. We felt we were in the middle of everything. The size of the cable was terrific. Very quiet since you have cabins below and above. I've tried to attach a couple of pictures of the balcony. Hopefully, you can see the furniture included. Enjoy your cruise!
