umbrella or rain ponho?

If I have my good camera with me, I might carry a poncho. If you are shopping, it will keep your bags dry too.

Luckily, we've never had much rain and usually it's just a passing shower.

The only time I ever actually used a poncho was on a week long trip to Costa Rica during their rainy season. Didn't really need them while cruising, but they are easy to carry if you want one. An umbrella would be too much trouble for me.

.....rain ponchos when debarking the ship and it is raining. I think they were like $3 a piece or so.

I do the same thing. I don't pack an umbrella or poncho, and if need be ( it has to be pouring out ), then I buy the poncho when debarking the ship. Also, on many excursions ( that run rain or shine), they usually hand out ponchos ( speaking about CCL run excursion).
