Thanks for keeping this list for all of us.

We will be on Voyager 10/22 thru 11/12, Venice-NOLA. We are guessing Capt. Bang will be on board. Are we correct?

as previously stated, you will not have Capt Bang, he should be going on vacation again 10-8 as he's about to rejoin Voyager the end of July.

Are the captains still on a ten week on and ten week off rotation?

 

10 weeks is the norm unless something comes up. They can do anything...Radiance this spring did two 6.5 week rotations. If the masters have something they need to attend to at home, they can lengthen or shorten their rotations, as long as the total comes out to working 6 months of the year.

Hope you are wrong about Captain James moving to another ship. We have been fans of his since our first transatlantic (Brilliance, September, 2002). Jewel lost Robert Taggart and hate to think Captain James will be moving as well. :(

 

it's RCI policy to move them around every 3-4 years. They can stay but they will be asked if they will move. Look what happened with Capt Johnny and Capt Bang. Capt Claus Anderson told me he had been asked if he wanted to move off Radiance but he said "no, it was his ship and he's there to stay." I'll believe that one when I see it.

This is great news and a very well deserved and long overdue promotion. She was the interim Master of the Jewel of the Seas for a westbound TA a few years back and handled the position very well. I believe she left the ship shortly afterwards to get married and then came back as the Staff Captain. A very personable and able ship's officer.

Very happy about Captain Liz. We were on the Jewel when she took over control of the TA and she was very efficient and personable. She did get married and declined a Captaincy for a while. She deserves the promotion.:D

I was just calculating the same thing. We're on the August 21 sailing. It seems that Capt. Johnny should switch off next week, so we should have Capt Zini. (Which I am happy about - as much as we loved Capt Johnny when we've sailed with him in the past, it's nice to have someone "new to us")

yeah...when CC updated their servers they suddenly noticed that threads with high post counts/views was slowing everybody down. They are going through the boards and archiving the bigger threads. I emailed the host and told them it was OK to archive the first 3 years of Current Captains but she said they couldn't do it that way. She said to start a new thread and let her know when she could archive the old. So I started Current Captains Con't and she gave me the final count of the old one. So this is really picking up from 359,619 views and 5,376 posts!

AGREED about Captain Liz, we were also fortunate to be on the TA with her. We were just talking about her this past week wondering when she would get a ship.

 

 

ALSO, just off majesty & Captain Per will rotate off on September 30. We REALLY did enjoy him.
