jlm41 Posted July 13, 2011 #1 Share Posted July 13, 2011 Just returned from 4 day cruise on Destiny(July 7 - July-11) When we checked out I was pleasantly surprised to see $70 OBC on my statement. We were 5 people in stateroom. ANd there were $14 per person OBC. Was it because It rained on couple days on cruise? We booked directly from Carnival site so it can not be from TA. Thanks for all the great people on this board, it was great cruise and family had a wonderful time. I will post some pictures over the weekend. Bibble Posted July 13, 2011 #3 Share Posted July 13, 2011 I believe we had something like $14.38 per person returned on our Destiny cruise in June. I'm guessing that port charges changed after booking.

No idea, but curious how you managed 5 people in one cabin.
B and C Blake Posted July 13, 2011 #5 Share Posted July 13, 2011 I read recently where some countries taxes and fees had changed and do change day to day. That would be the reason for OBC. Port charges are now included in the price of your cruise so it is doubtful that it would be port charges unless you missed a port. Even then it would be iffy to determine since not even TA's know what each port charge is.
Brighton Line Posted July 13, 2011 #6 Share Posted July 13, 2011 Just off the Glory July 7th and we got $6.79 OBC per person. Port Taxes had changed so we got the credit on the on board account.
