Hi -

Has anyone taken this Celebrity shore excursion at the end of your cruise? What are your thoughts? Was it enjoyable, entertaining, worthwhile? Also, what time were your dropped off at FLL at the end of the tour?

Thanks for the information.

Joe

Well, we enjoyed it, and got to see three gators up close in the wild. I figured it saved us the cost of a cab to the airport (pretty minimal anyway), and was something to kill the time while waiting for our late afternoon flight. It was a couple of years ago, so I don't remember when we arrived at the airport, but as I recall it was in plenty of time to have made a 2:30pm flight, which is the earliest departure they recommend if you want to take the tour. Overall, whether it was worthwhile or not is a bit debatable, but we were on vacation and not watching the pennies that closely. These days, we avoid ship sponsored shorex as too costly overall.

Hi

We took this tour in April as we had a late flight out of Miami and this seemed a good way to pass the time and an easy way to get to Miami airport. It was certainly convenient to get off the boat into the bus with our luggage but we felt the tour was just ok. We spent a short time watching an alligator show which was little more than a man sitting on the back of a gator talking about them and opening its jaws, then showing baby alligators. We then went out in a boat and saw quite a few alligators swimming in the water. It passed a couple of hours pleasantly enough but we would look for alternatives if we fly from there again. We did feel a bit disappointed in the whole set up.

We got to Miami Airport by about 1pm.

This is just our opinion but I hope it helps.

We also did this tour in April. We were dropped off at FFL between 12:30 and 1:00. We really enjoyed the airboat ride. We saw a lot of cool animals, colorful birds and many alligators. Our guide explained about many of the different plants and how the natives used them years ago.

We did not care for the gator show. Our bus driver was a disgruntled fellow who needed to find a different job. He could barely lift the suitcases from the bin, and was getting out the wrong ones at each terminal. He had tried to organize them by destination while at the port, but it didn't pan out.

We would still recommend the tour/transfer.
