MichCook Posted August 6, 2011 #1 Share Posted August 6, 2011 Am I imagining it or has Princess changed their website display to reflect, left to right, Minisuite/Suite to Interior? Thought they used to display Interior to Minisuite/Suite, left to right. At first I thought I hit a major price reduction for our balcony cabin, until I realized I wasn't looking at the balcony category!:(
Whimsy Posted August 6, 2011 #2 Share Posted August 6, 2011 I noticed the change too.
Princess Patches Posted August 6, 2011 #3 Share Posted August 6, 2011 Yes, it definitely changed this week. I preferred the old set up with the most expensive cabins on the right. It seemed easier to read.
jlf1 Posted August 6, 2011 #4 Share Posted August 6, 2011 As of this am mine still shows most expensive on the right.
Pia1913 Posted August 6, 2011 #5 Share Posted August 6, 2011 As of this am mine still shows most expensive on the right. If I look at my saved cruises they are all still listed left to right. If I search for a new cruise, the listings are right to left.

Toto2Kansas Posted August 6, 2011 #9 Share Posted August 6, 2011 Yes, they did switch them around recently. It caught me off guard when I saw our next cruise listed as $2999 where the suite price should have been.:D Suites are now on the left, insides on the right in the list of pricing details, and it was always the other way around. It will just take a little getting used to.:p
rja4969 Posted August 6, 2011 #10 Share Posted August 6, 2011  It always did that. I think they are saying that they now show more cruises per page???? I have not gone on line to check, just a guess. Just went to Princess and that is whatb they have done. Instead of showing ten cruises over three or more pages they now show all 10 on one page. Also, they have reversed the order of cabin prices.

Sanibel*Gal Posted August 6, 2011 #12 Share Posted August 6, 2011 Yep and the little tab that use to say, oh shoot I forgot now what it use to say  but now it says "Learn More", is what you select to check cabin availability.

Infi Posted August 6, 2011 #14 Share Posted August 6, 2011 I was checking prices yesterday and noticed the same thing. Smart marketing. Also, it now very clearly says that prices are per person and based on double occupancy.
spunkie4 Posted August 6, 2011 #15 Share Posted August 6, 2011 The change also made me jump with excitement! I thought the cruise I was watching had a price reduction. Still not used to the change. Had the same reaction this morning.
srpilo Posted August 6, 2011 #16 Share Posted August 6, 2011 Yes, it definitely changed this week. I preferred the old set up with the most expensive cabins on the right. It seemed easier to read. jonikal Posted August 6, 2011 #18 Share Posted August 6, 2011 Anyone know why the "edit" option next to what appears to be a default BE category when checking prices on the Princess site, does not work? I though it could be that all other categories are booked, but checking on a cruise in late 2012 that is definitely not overbooked, it shows the same BE category and no functioning "edit". I also tried it without signing in, but no luck. What am I not doing correctly???
mishdoob Posted August 6, 2011 #19 Share Posted August 6, 2011 I had noticed it in the Princess holiday cruise brochure that came this week - it is now harder to read!! must be a new marketing idea!

debjo Posted August 7, 2011 #21 Share Posted August 7, 2011 If I were asked to vote...I'd have to vote for the old format too. This is marketing at it's finest. I'll never understand why stuff that works fine has to get changed and wheels have to get reinvented. Debjo
Stevesan Posted August 7, 2011 #22 Share Posted August 7, 2011 How is listing price categories left to right a marketing ploy?
Rare geoherb Posted August 7, 2011 #23 Share Posted August 7, 2011 It makes sense to me to list the categories left to right from highest to lowest because the next page always had the highest categories at the top down to the insides at the bottom. I keep checking to see if the cruise we booked a week ago has come down in price. It hasn't. Final payment isn't until the first week of October, so there's plenty of time. cruzsnooze Posted August 7, 2011 #24 Share Posted August 7, 2011 It wasn't broken but Princess had to fix it. What did the change accomplish? Nothing!
