firefly333 Posted August 8, 2011 #3 Share Posted August 8, 2011 Its not open on port days, but the sea days, yes the menu changed.
Megnolia Posted August 8, 2011 #4 Share Posted August 8, 2011 On each of my cruises the menu has been different every (sea) day when the dining room is open. And the meals were comparable to the dinners in terms of variety and fanciness. I love lunch in the MDR, but I can't eat as much dinner those nights, because it's a pretty big meal! Cruisingzs, just noticed that you just cruised a couple weeks ago. That's too bad if they have now changed it to the same menu every day. That doesn't look like a very exciting menu :(
crzycick Posted August 8, 2011 #5 Share Posted August 8, 2011 It's been awhile since my cruises but I thought the menu stayed the same. It's possible that the rotating items never caught my eye so I always ordered the same couple of items that were available each day. A regular cheeseburger is what I usually had. I remember a sandwich without meat, vegetarian if I remember correctly. I believe there was a seafood sandwich (I don't eat seafood).
Colorado Kat Posted August 8, 2011 #6 Share Posted August 8, 2011 On the Dream in January, it was the same on all sea days. There was no vegetarian option, and they told me I needed to go to the buffet when I inquired.
H82seaUgo Posted August 8, 2011 #7 Share Posted August 8, 2011 there are some ships experimenting with same lunch menues every sea day. this is a bad thing, and hope people push back. a.rotating lunch menu is as important to me as a rotatimg dinner menu. luckycruzer Posted August 8, 2011 #8 Share Posted August 8, 2011 I enjoy the diff menu ops in the DR each day. BF I don't mind. But the Lido ops are a good alt choice for those who wish the do-it-yourself meals

alabamaprincess Posted August 9, 2011 #13 Share Posted August 9, 2011 When we cruised back in May on the Fascination, they had different lunch menus on the two sea days. The first sea day I had the spaghetti with meat balls and the second sea day I had fish and chips. Both were very good.
zqvol Posted August 9, 2011 #14 Share Posted August 9, 2011 The menu varies every day in the dining room at lunch. (there are four different one.) https://www.goccl.com/irman/bookccl/sections/shipboard/LunchMenus_master.html

Gig103 Posted August 9, 2011 #16 Share Posted August 9, 2011 On the Splendor, we went to the MDR for two of the three sea days and the menu was different. One day was disappointing, but the last sea day had fried calamari and chicken parm, both of which were good!
DocF Posted August 9, 2011 #17 Share Posted August 9, 2011 Dining room is open for lunch only on seas days. There is only one revised lunch menu at this time, however, many of the ships do vary the lunch menu. The main reason we rarely use the dining room for lunch is that the sandwiches from the deli are so good. Doc
