Megsie1000 Posted August 19, 2011 #1 Share Posted August 19, 2011 Has anybody had any luck with getting their room steward just to remove the stuff? We have young kids in the room. I don't want to even mess with it. :) Or worry about whether we were charged incorrectly or the 3-year old really did take the Kit-Kat bar. :D

Many have it done to store their own items, medication, sodas etc.
CruiserBruce Posted August 19, 2011 #3 Share Posted August 19, 2011 Done it every time we have sailed with them.
Netta7 Posted August 19, 2011 #4 Share Posted August 19, 2011 We were in the Noordam a couple of weeks ago and asked our stewards when we boarded. It was done within 2 hours, no problem at all.
Mary Ellen Posted August 19, 2011 #5 Share Posted August 19, 2011 If it's a Kit-Kat bar you're worried about, I think it is just beverages in the mini-bar. Still, we have the cooler emptied when we have one. They usually put the drinks in the round hassock in the cabin. This would probably be difficult for a 3-year-old to open. Krazy Kruizers Posted August 19, 2011 #6 Share Posted August 19, 2011 There was a time when HAL did have some snacks that you paid for -- but they have been gone for years. Just small alcohol bottles, a couple of cans of beer, bottled water and soft drinks. No Food.
Megsie1000 Posted August 19, 2011 Author #7 Share Posted August 19, 2011 Thanks, guys. I'll have the room steward remove the drinks when we get on board. :)
peug Posted August 19, 2011 #8 Share Posted August 19, 2011 Actually our room steward had to get the bar steward to remove the items. It took about 24 hours. I think it was done when he came to check and restock.
