jvermast Posted August 31, 2011 #1 Share Posted August 31, 2011 I'm checking out pictures of Ruby Princess and where our room will be (Emerald Deck Oceanview Double) for our January 2012 cruise and it seems like the Oceanview is actually "Walkway View"! as our Window overlooks the Walkway that is behind the lifeboats. Any ideas?
cherylandtk Posted August 31, 2011 #2 Share Posted August 31, 2011 That is entirely possible, or not depending on which cabin....there may also be some white rigging and/or drums in the view, but many of those are more view than not. If you feel comfortable posting the cabin number or range/area, you will get more specific responses. The unobstructed views are mostly of the ocean, as the window depth is such that you have to lean into the window to look down to the walkway. robsaw Posted September 1, 2011 #3 Share Posted September 1, 2011 The variety of oceanviews on the Emerald deck is such that without an exact room number no "ideas" are really possible to suggest. Unless you are far forward, the walkway (Promenade deck) is more or less below the lifeboats a whole deck below you. We've done 3 cruises, all oceanview, on Emerald deck on Ruby, Emerald and Crown (3 identical sister ships); E402 twice and E229 once. E402 is unobstructed while E229 has nautical gear partially blocking the view.
