TheCaveman Posted September 6, 2011 Author #230 Share Posted September 6, 2011 After our meal, as we missed the first show, we decided to go to the late seating show. David Deeble. A hilarious Juggler and physical comedy act was on tonigjht, again, the was very good. When we got there, we were in time for bingo!
TheCaveman Posted September 6, 2011 Author #231 Share Posted September 6, 2011 There were no comedy shows tonight, so, we headed over to the casino, to make a donation. You know that machine, where you throw in quarters, and, you win more quarters, well, we walked by, and saw the “Win a Cocktail” one was close. The GF played a while, and…. I think it was "The Cruiser" that she chose, but I am not to sure now.
TheCaveman Posted September 6, 2011 Author #232 Share Posted September 6, 2011 So, after that, we decided to head to the room, as it was another long day. We decided to order room service. Well, somehow, on the way from the casino, to our room, i took this picture.... although it is in opposite directions from each other.

John Heald, does this morning show on sea days, and days were you get into port late. It starts at 9:30, and is really funny. He reads out all Dear John letters, if you are married for like 50 years, or stuff like that.

TheCaveman Posted September 6, 2011 Author #237 Share Posted September 6, 2011 And, so, another day comes to an end. Dubrovnik, so far, were my favourite port. Yes, it even beat Rome. I don’t know how to explain it…. This little guy kept us company that evening So, tomorrow is our first sea day. Phew, it was a lot of ports in a row, and a welcome rest day. It was also our first formal night (They cancelled it – more on that later) So, today was day 6, what we have laying in front of us was: Day 7 - Sea Day Day 8 - Venice Day 9 - Sea Day Day 10 - Sea Day Day 11 - Sea Day Day 12 - Disembarkation Day & full day in Barcelona Day 13 - Barcelona Day 14 - Return to Dublin . TheCaveman Posted September 6, 2011 Author #239 Share Posted September 6, 2011 Really enjoying your review, we got off the ship a week or so before you! Hey at least you saw John Heald on your voyage - we only saw him at the shows- my son said that he is like the Oz in Wizzard of Oz, you can hear him but not see him! Well ,we met him again on the 2nd sea day, and, well, i will explain later.... Or... I tiink he is a brilliant Cruise Director. I think he could be the best there is. But, I dont think he is the best cruise director for the Magic. It is Carnival's flagship ship...... If he was ONLY the cruise director of the Magic, I believe people will love him even more. But, he is the Cruise Director, the Brand ambassodor, the Keep the whole fleet up to date via facebook when hurricane bastard was casing havock, and, he write a blog every few days, sorting a lot of things out behind the scenes guy. I spoke to some staff onboard, some guys that works closely with him, and they agreed.... If he just delt with the 1 ship, well,,,, But, I am like this as he "lied" to me . Yes, that is correct.... I will tell the story in full detail , on elegant Night, the second sea day. But, will that stop me sailing with him again, no, i will go cruising with him again. So, that is it for tonight, Sea day 1 comming tomorrow.

royerhouse Posted September 7, 2011 #244 Share Posted September 7, 2011 So. . . here in my humble little town in Louisiana, USA, I had dinner tonight. I finished about 8:00 PM and logged onto to CC where I saw your review. It is now a little after 10:00 PM. In that two-hour time period, I have sailed about 6-7 days of Carnival's 12 day Mediterranean cruise, all thanks to YOU! Seriously, I feel as if I have been there! The pictures are amazing! I'll log on again tomorrow night, and the next, and the next. . for as long as it takes to "finish" my cruise! We are thinking of going on this one next year, so now we have a good idea of what to see and do! Thanks!!! By the way, regarding the teenager left at the wrong station. . . We were flying home from Anchorage, Alaska after a cruise there in 2010 and were taxiing onto the runway when we noticed a commotion in the front of the plane. The plane slowed down, began to turn around, and the captain announced that we had to return to the gate as "one of our passengers has a problem". When we arrived back at the gate, a man and woman got off the plane. We waited and waited and after about 20 minutes, they got back on the plane. . WITH THEIR CHILDREN!! The kids looked like they were about 9 and 5. We never learned the full story, but it appeared that they had forgotten their children in the airport! Anyway, thanks again for posting this review and those amazing pictures.

TheCaveman Posted September 7, 2011 Author #250 Share Posted September 7, 2011 So, today starts with us sitting on Lido Deck, watching John & Calvin doing there morning Show. These 2 are great together, kind of like good cop, bad cop. And, you heard it first here. I believe, Calvin will be a great Cruise Director one day. So, one thin that I will mention, as I have read about it here before, it have been discussed in great detail… Chair hogs…. I have never seen it as bad as on the Magic. It is not a problem, it is an epidemic. During John’s morning show, they go live to the Lido deck, at 9:30 in the morning, and they ask people to wave, etc. Then, on the big screen at the Lido, you can see, only about 50% of chairs have people on, the rest is just towels. Even John mentioned where is all the people. By the next sea day, he made a joke, to throw the stuff overboard – something like that, as, well, it is bad. Ok, Lunchtime came, and we went to the Oceanside Barbeque. Deck 5. WE got Hamburgers, and some Tacos, all of it just hit the spot. Next, it was time for the Ice Carving. Is it a bird, it is a plane, is it an Red Indian again ? As finally saw something else , and it was an American Eagle.
