Good morning~ I need a quick response to a couple of things so I can book our excursion for the Mundo Nogalito Canopy Tour.

What time P.V. does the Splendor arrive?

What is the closest location for pick up? Collage Disco, Sheraton or Oxxo?

Thanks :)

Howdy,

Did you get an answer yet somewhere else?

It's kind of confusing topic, one in which I did a lot of research last spring for our May cruise: Here is my posting from when we returned in June, it's post #32:

http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1409211&page=2

Now as a Caveat, that covered sailing during the period of Daylight Savings Time. As I found, during "Standard Time" (October - March) when we will be sailing the time zone's will be set accordingly but the splendor has in the past moved it's clock one hour forward on monday and back one hour on Friday of a 7 night cruise, this came straight from Felipe the cruise director on our last night of the cruise and from research here on cruise critic so in theory this is the way our schedule will look come January 8, 2012 (I think ;) ):

Sunday January 8th 2012

Leave 4:00 PM (Pacific Standard Time/Ship Time)

Monday January 9th, 2012

Splendor moves it's clocks ahead 1 hour to become coordinated with Mountain Standard Time (MST)

Cabo San Lucas is on Mountain Standard Time:

Cabo San Lucas, Tuesday:

930am - 6pm (Time/Published Itinerary or MST)

930am - 6pm (Local Time or MST)

Cabo San Lucas, Wedensday:

7am - 4pm (Ship Time/Published Itinerary or MST)

7am - 4pm (Local Time or MST)

PV is set to the Central Time Zone (CST), so PV time will be 1 hours ahead of ship time.

Puerto Vallarta, Thursday:

900 am - 9 pm (Ship Time/Published Itinerary or MST)

1000 am - 10 pm (Local Time or Central Standard Time)

Friday January 13, 2012

Splendor moves it's clock back 1 hour from MST to PST to match Long Beach Time.

Sunday January 15th

Arrive in Long Beach 9am PST.

Again, this is based on reading other postings all last year/spring and speaking with Felipe the CD in May. I'm not %100 but am reasonably confident this is the way it works during Standard Time. Ultimately the decision is up to the captain if he will shift the Splendors time or not, but in the past during sailings outside of Daylight Savings they have done it. To be honest, if you call Carnival they will give you different answers everytime. The best way to confirm the times and arrivals is to watch the carnival splendor web cam on Thursday mornings after Daylight Savings ends which is on November 6th this year. You will see what time they pull into port at PV.

Hope this helps.
