louise44 Posted September 9, 2011 #1 Share Posted September 9, 2011 We're cruising on the Celebrity Equinox in October, in Aqua Class. Is Blu considered a specialty restaurant and smart casual is always OK, or is more formal attire still required on those nights designated as formal? Would appreciate any guidance! Denny01 Posted September 9, 2011 #2 Share Posted September 9, 2011 This subject has lead to a number of extended threads since Celebrity lists BLU as a specialty restaurant, and specialty restaurants are 'exempt' from the formal night guidelines. But from personal experience and from most other posts, and from what our Daily listed on our last Celebrity cruise, BLU dress codes for each evening are the same as the MDR - formal night guidelines on specified nights. Others can post their opinon and what they've experienced, and hope we don't go into the formal/casual barrages, but that is how I (me, myself, this guy, person) understands it and have experienced it. willma Posted September 9, 2011 #3 Share Posted September 9, 2011 I will be in strict formal in Blu, on formal nights. Fitting into the same dresses I bought for Equinox formal nights this year will be my diet incentive over the winter. BTW I don't mind what anyone else wears.... EithneMay Posted September 9, 2011 #4 Share Posted September 9, 2011 Since BLU is the MDR for AQ guests, it was my assumption that the dress code was the same as the regular MDR.
