pagnegirl Posted September 20, 2011 #1 Share Posted September 20, 2011 You think if you tipped the pool attendant, he'd save your pool chair(s)? I know all about saving chairs what is right, what is wrong about it, I'm just asking what would happen if you gave the guy a 50.00, you think he could or would save it? Also, I wonder if the same attendants work the same pool area each day? Dream (New Yr's Eve Cruise)

StillPooh Posted September 20, 2011 #4 Share Posted September 20, 2011 For that kind of money, why not just make reservations in the sanctuary?
tak81288 Posted September 20, 2011 #5 Share Posted September 20, 2011 I see staff around the pool area all the time (bartenders, security walking by, staff picking up trays and things ..etc..), but not a "pool attendant"...Everyone is too busy to watch your chairs for you. You can probably get another cruiser to watch your chair for you if they are planning to sit there all day anyway...:) I can't think of a staff member that would even have the time to do it though. Rockportgirl Posted September 20, 2011 #6 Share Posted September 20, 2011 Even if there was a pool attendant, I couldn't see him saving a chair for someone. Can you imagine him telling a passenger, "um, sorry, this chair is saved." I wouldn't think that would go over too well. Plus if you want a chair, just sit in one. Easy enough. dwayneb236 Posted September 20, 2011 #8 Share Posted September 20, 2011 I'm sure it happens, but this past week, I never saw any chair hogging issues. There were always tons of chairs around the pools or in the general area. Bribing is just a waste of money, and no one to bribe anyway.

Cruzaholic41 Posted September 20, 2011 #15 Share Posted September 20, 2011 what would happen if you gave the guy a 50.00, you think he could or would save it? What would happen? The guy would be $50 richer and you would still not have a chair. However, if you tipped the pool attendant, you wouldn't be on Carnival. CCL doesn't have them. MissDiva1 Posted September 20, 2011 #16 Share Posted September 20, 2011 You can certainly try it and them come back and let us know how it went.....unless someone on here actually did this.....I don't think we would know the answer.....
gogetter Posted September 20, 2011 #17 Share Posted September 20, 2011 Ok, to simply answer your question....NO you cant tip someone and no they will not save you a chair. I really do not understand this chair hog thing. 13 cruises later i have never had a problem finding a chair near the pool or away from the pool. Good luck!
