2-11pm in Curacao

You can enjoy the beach until sunset, so I would certainly plan to go swiming or snorkeling.

There are no real activities after dark in the downtown area other than having dinner or going to the casino. Depending on the day of the week you're in port there will be lively happy hours at different venues (just not downtown).

It is safe to walk downtown, but I would not carry around flashy jewelry or large cameras after dark. There are 2 parts of downtown Willemstad - Punda and Otrabanda. To get to Punda you need to cross the pontoon bridge and this area is generally safer at night than in Otrabanda.

Do NOT go into small, dark alleys.

Just use common sense as you would in all foreign cities/countries and you'll be fine.

There are FIVE casino's within walking distance from the pier:)

I don't know the exact sunset times, but it's safe to assume you can stay in the water until 6 p.m....

On what day of the week is your shipped docked here? Then I can check the daily activities (happy hours) for you.

For Happy Hours you can check out the K-Pasa the week before you cruise:

If it were me docked between 2 - 11 pm I would consider 2 options:

1. Take a cab to the Western side (30 minute ride) to Cas Abao, Porto Marie or Blue Bay. Stay there until 6 p.m., get back to the ship, shower, and then go to a Happy Hour around Riffort/De Gouverneur/Ay Caramba. After that, have dinner and hit the casino at the Renaissance Hotel.

2. Walk around downtown Willemstad for about 1 -2 hours, take a cab to Cabana Beach Club/Mambo Beach club and hang out at the beach. Eventually Happy Hour will start and you can have dinner on the beach.

Of course you can also take an island tour, but remember that it is HOT between 2 - 4 p.m. to do anything outside....
