EMc&DrS Posted October 10, 2011 #27 Share Posted October 10, 2011 If you are looking for something unique, book the "Behind the Fun" tour of the ship. You'll see everything that goes on behind the scenes--the galley, the bridge, the crew areas, backstage in the theatre--and a lot more. It's a walking tour, and you walk A LOT--for about 3 hours. You have to book it at the excursion desk as soon as you get on board--can't book in advance. They only do it once or twice per cruise, and only about 16 people per tour. On the Dream, the cost was $95, but it was worth it. We were given photos from the tour, samples of food, and a Carnival drawstring bag of "stuff." kentuckyluckyguy Posted October 10, 2011 #28 Share Posted October 10, 2011 Get a chair on the rear of the ship at the Serenity Deck...right on the rail...and just watch the water, read a book, have a drink and enjoy the sunshine! Not a more peaceful and free feeling in the world!
nessz79 Posted October 10, 2011 #29 Share Posted October 10, 2011 We get up relatively early to have a small breakfast at the Lido buffet and then get chairs on deck by 8 AM. We usually still can't get chairs by the pool, but it's close enough. By 10 AM it's impossible to find a chair except in the odd spots on other decks. After spending the morning there, we have a leisurely lunch in the MDR. The afternoon is a combo of sleeping, scheduled activities, and more sun. Oh, and lots of ice cream. ;)
