mattie00 Posted October 12, 2011 #1 Share Posted October 12, 2011 We will be visiting Norway after our Baltics cruise next July. Can anyone advise of reasonably priced, clean, well situated hotels in that city?
dalgirl Posted October 13, 2011 #2 Share Posted October 13, 2011 I got my information from Tripadvisor - you may want to check there. Since I have not yet stayed in the hotel I have booked, I cannot help you on which hotel - but there are some good reviews, info, etc at tripadvisor. Good luck! Take a look at Visit Bergen (official site) and then research the hotels further on TripAdvisor before booking. It's also worth looking at the Fjord Pass to see what discounts you can get from the various hotels.
kaisatsu Posted October 20, 2011 #4 Share Posted October 20, 2011 I second TripAdvisor for finding hotels, since everyone's choice of star-rating and price-point vary. http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotels-g190502-Bergen_Hordaland_Western_Fjords-Hotels.html I've stayed at the Grand Hotel Terminus in the past, and I quite liked it. I like historic hotels that still have some of that old-world feel to them with dark wood and prominent staircases. The Hotel Terminus could use some renovation, and the rooms are fairly basic, but our room was enormous by Scandinavian standards (rooms are often barely larger than the bed), and it was more affordable than a lot of other options.
