jtdlmc Posted October 16, 2011 #1 Share Posted October 16, 2011 Does anyone have pictures of the water park? What ages would it be suitable for? Trying to decide whether to try for a cabana close to the water park and that depends on whether the waterpark will be of interest to DS (12 years old) or if it is geared for younger kids. NCarolinaCruiser Posted October 17, 2011 #2 Share Posted October 17, 2011 Just there 2 weeks ago with my 8 yr old son, 3yr old daughter, and 11 year old nephew. There wasn't really an aqua park and the info I read lead to me believe there would be more. There were 2 water slides that were next to the beach, but didn't empty into ocean. 8 year old was thrilled by it and did it for 2+ hours. 11 year old thought it was boring and babyish. There were about 3 large foam mats/docks in deeper water that kids were swimming to and jumping from. Not sure a cabana closer to this area would be of necessity. We brought our own snorkel equipment and that was the highlight for my 11 year old nephew. We snorkeled near the water slides all the way near Private Oasis out to the ropes. We/others saw a barracuda, what looked like cuddle fish, and many other colorful fish. Loved Half Moon Cay and it was a wonderful day for all of us! jtdlmc Posted October 17, 2011 Author #3 Share Posted October 17, 2011 Thanks! I would really prefer a cabana further down and knowing that DS most likely won't want to spend a whole lot of time at the aqua park, that will be what I choose - if we get to the excursion desk in time to have a choice. marshhawk Posted October 19, 2011 #4 Share Posted October 19, 2011 I have read (if you are cruising Carnival) you can order the cabana before you get on board-you may want to contact them now....
