karenbeanpole Posted October 28, 2011 #1 Share Posted October 28, 2011 Please can anyone from the UK tell me how they got their double entry visa. What's the cheapest / best way to do this? I am confused as I'm not sure about this Visa fee plus Application Service Fee - it comes up to £81 for 1 person. Is that correct? Also when should I apply for it. We live half hour away on the train from London, so can easily go to the Embassy.

Silver Machine Posted October 29, 2011 #4 Share Posted October 29, 2011 Hi there, Cheapest and easiest way is to go to the chinese consulate with your completed form/passport and then collect it 4 working days after. You need to pay £81 per visa and pay by cash or debit card. This is the way to go. We did the same but had to go to Manchester for ours as we live 30 miles south. Even with our transport up to Manchester, it was cheaper than paying agency fees and special delivery costs. Hope this helps. Pauline
karenbeanpole Posted October 29, 2011 Author #5 Share Posted October 29, 2011 Thanks a lot. It all just sounds like a lot of money for a visa! I thought Vietnam was bad, but this is worse! Oh well, we just gotta do it if we want to go
