In port Wi-fi?

We are heading back to Alaska next year and I was wondering if shore based Wi-Fi connections are available in port, ie ship to shore & free wi-fi hotspot?

Probably not...you may still be on the ship's wi-fi and it will cost you!

There is a fairly short distance that wifi will work. I have never been able to get on a network from my balcony (other than the ship network).

Some people report they have gotten WiFi signals on their verandas in Caribbean but I have never been able to.

 

Ask crew where there is free WiFi. They always know the best places.
