johnql Posted April 20, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 20, 2004 Yesterday, Mayor Bloomberg announced an agreement between the city and two major cruise lines (NCL and Carnival) to finance the renovation of NYC's passenger ship terminal and the creation of a new cruise pier in Brooklyn. This is welcome news. Unfortunately, it will be a while before cruise passengers reap the rewards of this development. sasisu Posted April 21, 2004 #3 Share Posted April 21, 2004 I heard that they will have separate areas for embarking and disembarking. That sounds like a good idea.
herb Posted April 21, 2004 #4 Share Posted April 21, 2004 If it takes as long to renovate the piers as it does to renovate the LIE I would say, don't hold your breath herb T.S. Bremen '67 M.S.
