alaskaobsessed Posted April 7, 2005 #1 Share Posted April 7, 2005 Hello Alaska fans! My fiance and I are taking our honeymoon cruise on Celebrity Southbound Alaska. We are looking at booking the whale watching trip at Icy Straight Point. They offer one at 11:30 AM and one at 8:30AM. Is there a good reason to choose the 8:30AM trip or do we have just as good a chance to see whales at 11:30AM (My fiance is NOT a morning person) (Hoonah boy if your out there I'd love your opinion!) Thanks!:)
JohnQ Posted April 7, 2005 #2 Share Posted April 7, 2005 It doesn't matter, whales eat and swim all day!!! If you sleep in and then take 11:30 whale tour, you won't have much time to see Hoonah. But priorities are priorities!!!! Enjoy.
alaskaobsessed Posted April 7, 2005 Author #3 Share Posted April 7, 2005 Thanks for the quick response! Hoonah sounds beautiful and quaint from all the posts on this board, I may desert my sleepy sweetie for a little walk on my own.
AK*Angel Posted April 7, 2005 #4 Share Posted April 7, 2005 You won't need much time in Hoonah, not much to see. Any time day or night the whales are usually there in the summer, but there have been days when we haven't seen any there. Have a great time!
