What to do in Key West?

Key West is fun just to people watch. Check google to see if any festivals are going on when you're there.

Great upstairs restaurant 2/3 of the way dowm Duval from Mallory Square. Best New England clam chowder ever!

Some wood carvings in some of the shops are really cute. I got a flamingo that stands about 4 ft. high and is painted. It's not heavy and looks great guarding the foyer.

Definetly go to Sloppy Joe's. Saw Ebert there. He was playing the guitar and singing. He got the tumbs down!

Sunset at Mallory Square is not to be missed!

The best bar we went to last week was the Flying Monkeys Saloon. They have slushie type drinks that were delish!!!

We went there too! We ate at the outside restaurant next door and it was so hot! They had the overhead spray thingies that cooled you off:D

The food was very good and the drinks were even better!:D

Just fyi the place being referred to is known as Fogarty's and they generally have some pretty good food.

Would just like to relax on the beach and have a drink. What beach can anyone recommend?

I think the closest thing that people mean by this is this...

But it's over on Higgs beach about 2 miles from the docks and it's not quite as new as these photos make out. Nice, though.

Then the Southernmost Beach Cafe

Which is about 1.5 miles form the docks at the end of Duval Street, and which was just redone a few years ago.

Then the Beach Bar & Grill at the Pier House, 1 Duval Street, about a quarter mile form the docks.

For something more upscale, you could take the shuttle from the Westin Marina over to lattitudes and sit at their bar, but it gets pricey.
