QM2 and QE entering Sydney Harbour

Just found this on Youtube - reminded me of our very early morning excursion to see their entry into Sydney Harbour.

 

Can't wait for the 3 Queens event in Southampton next year.

Thanks Barry for bringing back memories of that grand arrival - I was watching from the rooftop pool area of the Old Sydney Holiday Inn. Will be on QM2 in March having sailed on QE and QV will make the trifecta! But would love to sail the three Queens next May - that will really be something.

Thanks for the memory of our pre-dawn arrival between the Sydney Heads on the QE. It was a delight to follow the QM2 from outside into the harbor area and to be able to dock at the Overseas Terminal. As always, lots of people along the shore and many boats and helicopters welcoming the 2 ships. Sydney is so beautiful and the people so friendly and hospitable. Always a big treat to be there!

I think that at three of the 'Meet the Captain' type events that I have been to, the question has been asked - what is your favourite port? The answer has been Sydney.

 

It's a fantastic place from a maritime point of view.
