Carnival Dream, RCI Oasis or Freedom

When we cruise our kids will be 4 & 8 we are looking at doing an Eastern Caribbean cruise out of Florida. Royal Caribbean's Oasis of the Seas looks incredible but pricey, Freedom of the Sea looks great too but Carnival Dream is cheapest...is there a reason why? Which is the best for kids?

I am also bummed to see my kids will be separate in the kid's clubs... which ship will they most likely be somewhat together on? I am a bit confused of how they can separate age groups when they are in the same room. (Oasis has them in entirely different rooms I think).

Thanks for the help & advice :)

The only cruiseline that I'm aware of where the kid could be together would be Disney.

Have fun planning!

We took our 2 & then 3 year old son on Carnival Pride (our "Home" port) - they have a divider between the very young & young kids.

Having previously been on RCCL, I did not find Carnival to be better or worse, just different - Carnival did't have an ice rink or rock climbing wall - but they provided a nice vacation.

Our next cruise will be on HAL - we choose based on itinerary more than price or perks.

Hello, I have been on both The CCL Dream and the RCCL Freedom of the Sea. I have a 3 year and an 8 year old. My 8 year old hated the CCL kids club. He refused to go in after the 2nd day due to the fact they never stuck to the planned activities. (they wanted them to sit in front of a TV the entire evening.) My youngest son would cry when we would leave and the CCL staff would refuse to keep him.

In my opinion I would reccommend the RCCL over CCL hands down. It's worth the extra money in my opinon.
