kycruisr Posted January 8, 2012 #1 Share Posted January 8, 2012 I was wondering if I could make a 10:15 a. m. flight out of Miami coming from the cruiseport.
nwcruiselover Posted January 8, 2012 #2 Share Posted January 8, 2012 It sounds unlikely. You would need to be at the airport by 8:15. What time does the ship get in? I wouldn't book a flight that early. Security lines can be long at MIA on ship turnover days. My advice is to save yourself a lot of stress and book a later flight. JdoggCruiser Posted January 8, 2012 #3 Share Posted January 8, 2012 if everything goes right you can. I mean everything. We have done it as early as 9.30am. Never again, the stressing out of "am I going to make it" is not worth it. We did self disemarking and grabbed a cab a ran like he**
firefly333 Posted January 8, 2012 #4 Share Posted January 8, 2012 Theoretically you can ask for where people meet who have early flights and they will probably let you wait with VIP (platinum and suites, so its not fair that someone who just cant manage their flight times should board with those who paid for it or earned it). We had over 300 once on Ecstasy .. mostly people who barged into our area because they said they all had early flights. It was a zoo to get that many people down one deck via elevators. Too many doing this now.
ferfoodle Posted January 8, 2012 #5 Share Posted January 8, 2012 Maybe - maybe not. Here is a recent thread on the maybe not. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1526384&highlight=destiny+late No one will ever know when a ship will be late or if it will have a full customs check. 10:15 is just too early IMO.
