Krazy Kruizers Posted January 12, 2012 #3 Share Posted January 12, 2012 Absolutly -- it is really great to get shipboard credit and have it help to off set the Hotel Service Charge. For many it can mean a low bill at the end of the cruise.
jtl513 Posted January 12, 2012 #4 Share Posted January 12, 2012 That was answered when you asked it three hours ago on this thread: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?p=31929821#post31929821 All OBCs offset all charges.
KirkNC Posted January 12, 2012 #5 Share Posted January 12, 2012 it is just a general credit to your account. It will offset any and everything.
Barrheadlass Posted January 13, 2012 #6 Share Posted January 13, 2012 I faxed my shareholders proof a couple of days ago. How can I tell if it has been applied to my account? Thanks
CruiserBruce Posted January 13, 2012 #7 Share Posted January 13, 2012 You can't until you get on board. Get a confirmation from HAL, and take it with you.

CruiserBruce Posted January 13, 2012 #9 Share Posted January 13, 2012 Read the fine print! No IT CAN NOT BE USED FOR GRATUITY! according to the CCL website! That may be true on CCL, but on HAL, it can. Just did it last month. For a 14 day cruise, our room bill was about $150, as our shareholder credit, along with our OBC for FCD, paid for all of our service charge, plus portions of other purchases. RuthC Posted January 13, 2012 #10 Share Posted January 13, 2012 Read the fine print! No IT CAN NOT BE USED FOR GRATUITY! according to the CCL website! While you're reading the fine print on the CCL website, I'm reading my bill. The amount of CCL stockholder credit has been applied to my bill after all! :) The reality is that all my credits are applied at the top of the bill, then the charges subtracted, to come up with a running total. When the credit is gone, my real costs start.
