travelinteach Posted January 16, 2012 #1 Share Posted January 16, 2012 Many of you are saying you are getting a rental car for $11-$15 in either FLL or MIA. I cannot find anything cheaper that $50-$70. Where are you looking??

lollylew Posted January 16, 2012 #4 Share Posted January 16, 2012 People are probably doing the "Name your own price" on priceline.com. I have tried twice to do $15 for a compact for Miami but haven't had the offer accepted yet. I might wait till I get closer to my cruise date and try again. Would you mind telling me which car company it is? I looked at the Visa discount site but they list so many car rental deals it would take a long time for me to click through and try out each one. Thanks!

Thanks! It is with Alamo. You have to rent for at least 5 days and keep it over a Saturday night. We are staying a week after our upcoming cruise so it worked out perfectly. We used the one that says 20% plus $30.00 off....
trvlqueen Posted January 17, 2012 #9 Share Posted January 17, 2012 I got $11 with Enterprise and $15 with Sixt - both just last week. At those prices, I added the insurance, which I usually am loath to add - but Miami drivers can be even crazier than Chicago drivers and I still ended up less than $25 for the rental after paying for tolls and insurance. I did not use priceline - I booked through a TA.
Rallytime1975 Posted January 17, 2012 #10 Share Posted January 17, 2012 Travelocity was the best i have seen, but we ended booking with Kings car rental out of the MIA ariport. We needed a car that fits 8 people, they had the best price for a car of that size
