Surround sound in GS question

We usually pack our own speakers so we can listen to our Ipod in the cabin. We have a Grand Suite on the Jewel and it states the room has surround sound. Can anyone confirm if we can hook up our Ipod to it and leave our speakers at home?

We were on the Voyager and in our GS the stereo had a CD player and Bose surround sound. I swear I heard nuances in the music from our CDs that I had never heard before! (note to self, upgrade sound system at home...:rolleyes:). So yes, leave your speakers at home; you won't need them in a GS.

 

If you have any questions in particular about your GS, you can always ask your Concierge before you cruise. You should be getting a welcome e-mail from he/she about a week in advance of your sailing.

In addition to the above - our GS on Explorer had an IPod docking station so we never used our speakers. enjoy.

Our GS on the FOS had an ipod dock too and the sound very good for the small desktop model. But you can still hook your ipod to back of the TV and it will play through the Bose speakers.
