Zeebrugge berth?

We will be in Zeebrugge in May on QV (with QE) and in June with QM2. I know that a shuttle is provided to Blankenberge - but am also trying to ascertain where exactly within the dockyards these ships will berth - also how you get out of the dockyard if not going to Blankenberge and where the dockyard gates are.

Any advice please??

Barry,

you will be berthed in the outer harbour which is the part of the commercial docks where the larger vessels berth. Specifically you will be at the Swedish Quay which is within easy walking distance of the port entrance on Kustlaan. The only problem is that, having got onto the public road, you are still slap in the middle of the dock estate which is pretty vast, so I think you would still be looking for transport to get you to anyplace you wanted to go to. You might find this map useful. Also, if you go to Google Maps and type in Zeebrugge, the resulting map will be pretty much centred on the docks with the Swedish Quay just above and right of the place marker.

Without knowing your precise plans, I would think the shuttle bus is your best option.

AAH!! Thank you J

I don't know how you found that document - I have searched all over that website before to no avail :)

In my research, I have only ever heard about a shuttle to Blankenberge - from where you can get the train to Brugge. BUT, I have also read of people who left their return by train to Blankenberge a little late , only to find a VERY long queue of people trying to return to the ship on the shuttle. As there will be two ships in Zeebrugge on one of our days there, I have been trying to work my way around that situation. I did not realise that there is a shuttle to just outside the dockyard gates (to the lightship) - it is only about 1.5 klms to Zeebrugge Village train station from there and we could walk it easily. Just trying to avoid any last minute rush to get onto the shuttle from Blankenberge
