Are there any shops on the Silhouette selling electrical goods e.g. Laptops, Tablets, Cameras etc. and does anyone know how the prices on board compare to the UK prices. Thanks:)

There is an iLounge aboard where you can purchase some Apple branded products. I believe you can purchase cameras, batteries, memory cards through the onboard photography department ... not sure about any other electrical goods. I would recommend though purchasing items you require at home ... not unless there is a significant price difference ... as you don't want to spend your holiday lugging around the instruction manuals, accessories and learning how to use the products ... good luck!

Well, they do sell some cameras at the photo desk and you are certainly welcome to pay their outrageous prices :). On our recent Silhouette cruise we happened to look at the popular Canon ELPH100 digital camera which was available nearly anywhere (at the time) in the US for about $149. On the Silhouette they had a bargain price of $199!

There are no bargains for cameras and electronics on Celebrity ships, including batteries and other photo ccessories. Buy what you need at home.

St. Thomas is the place to buy almost anything under the sun at the best price you will find anywhere. Diamonds,cameras,laptops,etc.

In addition to St. Thomas, St. Maarten has good pricing on cameras, etc. The only time I would buy on a ship would be on a long TA with many days at sea and a dropped and damaged camera sitting uselessly in my camera bag.
