sam9351 Posted April 22, 2005 #1 Share Posted April 22, 2005 Never have done personal choice. We envision lines every night. Can you make reservations? How is food and service? What about other restaurants on the ship?
yancycruiser Posted April 22, 2005 #2 Share Posted April 22, 2005 You will get a lot of good feedback on this. We experienced personal dining or anytime dining on our last cruise on the Sapphire Princess. We made reservations for all seven nights right after boarding and had no problems. Service, food, etc. same as Traditional (in our opinion).

balibeachboy Posted April 22, 2005 #4 Share Posted April 22, 2005 We were on the CP in January, signed up for PC dining, and had no problems whatsoever. The day we boarded, we made a standing reservation for 8 in the Palm. We canceled it a few times, for various reasons, but never had to wait in line. They would not accept reservations between 6:30 and 8, but that worked out fine for us. Most nights we got hors d'ouevres from the Horizon Cafe, had a drink by the pool, then headed to the Palm at 8. Worked out great.
ericosmith Posted April 22, 2005 #5 Share Posted April 22, 2005 On the CB the first week in April. Had Personal choice dining. Ate in both the Palm and Coral dining room at various times. Never had a reservation. Never had a wait to get seated regardless of table size or time. I thought it was great.
mphouston Posted April 22, 2005 #6 Share Posted April 22, 2005 We are planning on PC dining with 16+ people. Any ideas on when you can make a standing reservation on embarkation day? I am trying to figure out if one of us should get in line early (11:30ish) to make sure we make the reservation for two or three tables near each other. On the Grand and Coral, we had good luck with PC dining. We eat early (6pm or so), and never had to wait. We got a standing reservation on the Coral for 5:45 and it worked well for us. We got to know the waiters better with a standing reservation. Thanks.
