Emerald Princess - Late arrival

Looking at the FLL webcam , noticed that the Emerald arrived in FLL at 11AM local time . Any reason why she was late?:confused:

She was there at the normal time in the morning. They ran some evacuation drills from one side of the ship and then turned the ship around at about 10:30 am. There's another thread on this if you look for it.

Princess seems to like to turn the ships around after they've disembarked passengers in the morning. I'm honestly not sure why, but I've definitely noticed it.

I don't think so... the only reason why they would turn the ship around would be to conduct the evacuation drills like they did this morning. They wouldn't waste the fuel to gratuitously turn the ship around just for the fun of it... :rolleyes: :)

Last month they were testing the inflatable rafts during the turnaround in FLL. They launched several from the starboard side while pax disembarked, then turned the ship around at ~10:30 and tested the ones on the port side while new pax embarked.

 

It was interesting to see the size of the rafts and the huge operation to recover them and stow them for transportation to wherever they repack them. A couple of photos are attached.
