imluvncruzn Posted March 9, 2012 #26 Share Posted March 9, 2012 Here's our stash from our trip in January on the Valor. We actually bought a new smaller hand cart while on the Valor. It was sold in the gift shop for $30 and will lug up to 80lbs.

imluvncruzn Posted March 9, 2012 #28 Share Posted March 9, 2012 That's alot of water!!! Did they shake the water bottles since you had so many? One of the cases of water belonged to our friends in a different cabin...but to answer your question...after going through scanner they had a table set up to check water. They took one or two bottles out of each case and shook them to make sure they were water.
Jane T Posted March 9, 2012 #29 Share Posted March 9, 2012 How much water can you take onboard? Is it in addition to the 12 sodas per person?
maryred Posted March 9, 2012 #30 Share Posted March 9, 2012 Your allowed a combined total of 12 cans/bottles/ boxes upto 20oz each of mixed and matched non-alcoholic beverages per passenger.
imluvncruzn Posted March 9, 2012 #31 Share Posted March 9, 2012 Previous poster is right...it is supposed to be 12 non-alcoholic beverages (20 oz. or less) per person but (knock on wood) we've never had a problem bringing on more than that. On the Valor in January (4 in cabin) we brought on 4- 12packs of soda, 24 bottles of water, and 6 cans of pineapple juice. We were never questioned... Jane T Posted March 9, 2012 #32 Share Posted March 9, 2012 I like the idea of pineapple juice - didn't think about that!:D
unionville3 Posted March 9, 2012 #33 Share Posted March 9, 2012 Can you bring a 12 pack of soda/water from each port visited or is it restricted to the embarkation day? We have always replenished our bottled water at the ports we visit - less to carry on embarkment day.
kapcruiser Posted March 9, 2012 #34 Share Posted March 9, 2012 Good to know we can replenish at the ports.
pcvtmom Posted March 15, 2012 #35 Share Posted March 15, 2012 WRONG! One 750ml bottle per person is what is allowed. Oops, I meant per COUPLE...:o
SuntanaGirl Posted March 15, 2012 #36 Share Posted March 15, 2012 Oops, I meant per COUPLE...:o A 12 pack of non alcoholic beverage, 20oz or less and 1 bottle of wine 750mL is allowed per person. DH and I sailed Magic 2/26 and we brought 24 drinks and 2 bottles of wine total in one rolling carryon suitcase we pulled around.
BeneClone Posted March 15, 2012 #37 Share Posted March 15, 2012 Why do they shake the water? Sent from my SPH-M900 using Tapatalk
Blueboss Posted March 15, 2012 #38 Share Posted March 15, 2012 Clear alcohol such as Vodka, Everclear, etc. bubbles will not look the same or last longer/shorter than the water bubbles. I can't quit remember, but saw a show about Moonshine and that was how the buyer could tell if it was true stuff or watered down. I'm assuming they are using the same principle. Director of Family Fun Posted March 16, 2012 #39 Share Posted March 16, 2012 I am the only wine drinker in our group. I will not finish an entire bottle at dinner. Is there an option to leave opened bottle with our dining room waiter to finish the next night? Seems silly to pay corkage fee in the dining room if I'll waste some. Cristallo Posted March 16, 2012 #41 Share Posted March 16, 2012 When you shake the bottles your checking the bead. The faster the bubbles dissipate the higher the proof.
