Rico is normally the CD on GR. I would guess that he's on vacation now prior to the crossing (4/18-5/1) and revitalization drydock (5/1-31).

So, we have Jimmy double booked! lol A recent passenger was told aboard Voyager that Jimmy was going there after his break.

 

RCI emails have been wrong before (they told us that Richard Spacey would be the CD on Explorer for our New Years cruise, but he didn't get there until mid-January and we ended up with Jimmy Rhodes instead.

 

We didn't care for Jimmy at all - I sure hope he will NOT be on our Explorer cruise on May 24, and that the RCI email is misinformation again.

Many of the seasonal changes are made because of language issues. I've been in touch with 2 CDs who are changing ships because English is their only language. In this case, Abel got his assignment because he is fluent in so many languages. I wouldn't worry about losing him in Europe!

We had Marc Walker on part of our Serenade cruise last last September. He left to go on to the Monarch. Wonder if he is the "Mark" who is now on the Serenade?

 

We were just on the Serenade in late February and Marc Walker was indeed our CD. However, he is due to depart any time now as his wife is due any day now. He announced that after his paternity leave, he'll join the Monarch (again, I gather) since it's 30 minutes from his home and will allow him to see his family twice a week.

Dave Chapman was our CD both times we were on Explorer (2008 and 2009). I don't know who was Cd on our cruise last year on Monarch, I'm sorry to say. I guess we were so busy having a good time that we didn't pay attention!

 

I do look forward to seeing who will be on FOS in February of 2013 when we go on our next cruse.

I was in touch with Carly a few weeks ago - just before she went on vacation and also just before I got on JW and missed her!

 

As far as I know, the info I posted is correct. I didn't see anything here or elsewhere to the contrary.

 

I believe the comments were inadvertently dropped - a perfect example of overlapping work efforts.
