High-end collectibles in St Maarten / St Thomas

(now you know why I asked the alarm phone question ;))

The wife collects pricey collectibles (Murano, porcelain, crystal, ceramics, etc). Are we likely to find decent artwork collectibles in St Maarten / St Thomas? I'm not talking tourist fare obviously.

Likewise for local semi-precious stones, worked silver, emeralds, jade, etc. Any pointers will be appreciated. Again, good stuff!!

I did all my cruise shopping ahead of time. New Camcorder, gadgets, presentable clothes, etc (can you tell I'm a software developer :D)). 'far as I know, we could go to Key West, park there for a week and come back!!

I've seen tons of Lladro figurines. There are other high-end collectibles in the shops, but I really haven't paid attention to them. I have seen some Murano glass, but don't know if it's the best stuff.
